Martin House – Electric Lemonade – fruited imperial kettle sour

Looking for a refreshing sour that also packs a punch? Well, this beer has you covered for that! It pours a very cloudy yellow-gold color with a large, foamy off-white head. On the nose you get sweet orange aromas up front, backed by lighter lemonade and a citrus tart character along with hints of grainy malts. The body sits at a medium weight with light carbonation and a moderate amount of acidity which gives it a very lemonade-like consistency. Light orange hits your palate up front which immediately gives way into a tart lemonade flavor, followed by some grainy malts mid-palate. Sweet and sour orange notes resurface on the finish, then lead into a citrusy tart character that lingers just slightly. Review by Dan Chacon

Mother Earth / Breakside – Collaboration IPA – American IPA

This collab IPA pours an almost perfectly clear gold color with a head that is light and fades quickly. The aroma is predominantly hops, with some citrus notes that follow. The flavor is clean and bright with a slightly resinous hop characteristic that pivots nicely into a refreshing grapefruit and orange sweetness. Overall, this is a great example of a straightforward, easy drinking IPA with a classic citrus twist. Review by Stefan Walberg

Elevation – Tres Amigos – fruited & salted lager

Continuing with the theme of refreshing and flavorful beers, Elevation Brewing delivers with this lime and salt lager! This beer pours a surprising opaque pale orange color with a small, fizzy white head which dissipates quickly. The nose is bold with tart and slightly sweet lime laced with salt and hints of bready malts in the background. The body is also uncharacteristic of the style, sitting at a medium weight with medium-light carbonation and a slightly smooth mouth feel. Lime notes hit your palate up front, but they are less sweet and more tart here, followed by a lightly salted character and bready malts mid-palate. The lime flavors continue into the finish, but become a little sweeter, before the beer rounds out semi-clean with a mild bitterness. Review by Dan Chacon

Destihl – Lynnbrook Raspberry – fruited kettle sour

This beer pours a lovely pink color, with a strong aromatic head comprised of small bubbles. On the nose you get light notes of raspberry followed by some wheat and a bit of lemon. The flavor follows with a crisp and refreshing sour wheat character with elements of apple and lemon, which moves into a perfectly balanced raspberry sweetness. With a light body and a flavor that is not too sweet or sour, this beer is very approachable to those new to the style and very sessionable as well. Review by Stefan Walberg

Westbound & Down – Since you Asked Kindly – DDH double hazy IPA

Westbound & Down is a very well-rounded brewery and produces quality brews no matter the style. This double dry hopped double hazy pours an opaque, orange-hued, pale-yellow color with a large, dense, and foamy white head. On the nose you get aromas of orange and papaya accented with hints of sweet peach, backed by citrusy hops and grainy malts. It has a medium-heavy body with a medium-light carbonation giving it an almost juice-like consistency. On the palate you get notes of mango instead of papaya, backed by sweet orange, followed by pungent and slightly dank hops mid-palate. The hop character carries into the finish where it is joined by light notes of peach. Review by Dan Chacon

Outer Range – Sun Lands – German style Kolsch

This offering from Outer Range pours a pale amber color, with a large and very effervescent head. The aroma gives a slightly sweet, malty character at first, followed by a bit of green apple or pear. The flavor is subtle, opening with a slightly sweet bready flavor and very minor notes of coriander, which give way to a slight tart apple finish that leaves you wanting another sip. Overall, this is a light-bodied beer that is perfect with a lime and a back porch. Review by Stefan Walberg
